Energy supply in the partner regions

According to regional distinctions you will find different structures of energy supply. The following presentation should enable a comparison of these different forms of energy supply.

Firstly you will find detailed information about the global structure of energy supply following this link:

The situation in the three partner countries is shown below.

Riihimäki - Finland

The most important source of renewable energy in Finland is biomass meaning wood as such and the by-products of the paper industry. There has been a great increase in the usage of this Energy source.

The total structure gives a good impression about the regional distinctions in Finland. As you can see Finland makes big efforts to improve energy efficiency.

The development of the usage is shown in the picture below

Sibiu - Romania

Following you will find statistical data about the strurture of the energy supply as well as the energy use in Romania. The data are taken from a publishing of the Romanian Agency for Energy Conservation.

Hamburg - Germany

An exhaustive source for information about the situation in Germany is the following link

A brief overview is shown in the pictures below.

These charts give a brief overview. The government in Germany makes great efforts to improve the use of renewable energy in Germany. Detailed information are available following the link

For our project it was important, that students make research to find information about the subject. That was the basis for

some discussion and comparison of differences between the structure. And it was the basis for a comparison of governmental politics to improve the use of renewables.

You are invitated to make your own research to find all suitable information and to get an impression of the complex structure of the subject.
